II Workshop on Econimocs of Mediterranean

The main objective of the Workshop is to provide a forum for interaction between researchers, policy makers, and interested parties to present and discuss their research on issues identified under the various themes regarding economies and the economic impacts on development in the Mediterranean countries.

Papers on any topic related to Economies of the Mediterranean will be considered. Topics of special interest include: Institutions and Governance, Fiscal and Monetary Policies, Environmental Economics, Trade, Labor Market and Migration, Social Protection and Welfare, and Human Development, among others. Choice of topic is not limited to the above, but must be in the general area of economics related to the Mediterranean countries.

 

AbstractsAbstracts and expressions of interest must be received before December 31, 2011. Earlier submissions are strongly encouraged

Decisions: Decisions regarding selected abstracts will be communicated to authors no later than January 31, 2012 Final Papers: Final papers must be received by April 30, 2012.
Author Instructions:

Only Abstracts and Papers in English will be considered. All Abstracts must include clearly identified purpose, method, and expected (if not actual) results and conclusions.

Invited authors will be expected to prepare Discussant comments on another paper presented in the same session. The paper for discussion will be facilitated to the Discussant with sufficient time to prepare comments.

Support will be provided to Authors (one per accepted paper) for attending the Workshop. This support will be provided by our partner, the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), and will cover travel (on the most direct route and in economy class) and hotel accommodation.
